F1 - Very Early Die State (VEDS)
Very Early Die State
Key here is the 1-7 break.  At first, a very minimal break shows - much thinner cud, progression. (Appears to start at the 1-7, first thin, then thicker; most likely in the initial dies used for production and quickly developed larger 1-7 cud and other breaks and break expansion).

F2 - Early Die State (EDS)

the 1-7 break is thicker - and perhaps a cud with the intersection of the top of date break and the *13 to *9 break.  The triangle (*1 to half-way to *2) is weak, not fully formed

F3 - Middle Die State (MDS)
Middle Die State
The triangle (*1 to half-way to *2) is fully formed and complete.

F4- Late Die State (LDS)
